Naina Mahtani

Naina Mahtani worked with Dr. Ranak Trivedi while completing a doctoral internship at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System on the Behavioral Medicine track. Naina’s clinical and research interests include areas of palliative care, oncology and chronic pain. She is specially interested in understanding how terminal medical illnesses impact psychosocial functioning of individuals and their caregivers. She is also interested in identifying barriers to self-management of chronic illnesses, particularly looking at self-efficacy.
