Shreya Desai

Shreya Desai was a project coordinator and research assistant in the Framily and Mental Health Lab. Shreya completed her master’s thesis and internship under the guidance of Dr. Ranak Trivedi. Prior to starting her Master's degree, she was at the University of Houston and participated in a the two-year UHAND Fellowship where she was immersed in cancer prevention and control research at the University of Houston and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Shreya is currently a medical student at the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine. She aims to continue her research in disease prevention and management to achieve health equity and to provide culturally competent care and solutions to medicine. For fun, Shreya enjoys playing and watching sports, playing board games, painting, and traveling. In fact, her most recent adventures include riding in a safari in South Africa and skiing in the Swiss Alps!
