Shreya Desai

Shreya Desai earned a Master of Science in the Community Health and Prevention Research at Stanford University. Shreya completed her master’s thesis and internship under the guidance of Dr. Ranak Trivedi. Prior to starting her Master's degree, she was at the University of Houston where she earned a Bachelors' of Science in Psychology and in Biology. She also took part in a the two-year UHAND Fellowship where she was immersed in cancer prevention and control research at the University of Houston and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She aims to continue her research in disease prevention and management to achieve health equity and to provide culturally competent care and solutions to medicine for patients and their caregivers. She will begin medical school at the University of Houston in the Fall of 2022. For fun, Shreya enjoys playing and watching sports, playing board games, painting, and traveling. In fact, her most recent adventures include riding in a safari in South Africa and skiing in the Swiss Alps!
